KIDS CREATE

Come one, come all, come and add some colour to Mulga’s Magical Colouring Wall.

SAATCHI ART LOUNGE

Relax and take in the fair’s surrounds in our Saatchi Art Lounge. LA based curators Kat Henning and Evangelyn Delacare will be dishing out all you need to know, so stop by and say hello.

The National Art School Creative Producer Sebastian Goldspink will also be moderating two conversations as part of The Fair’s talks program.

Saturday 24 March at 1pm: How To Start A Collection, with panelists Gordon Elliott & Michael Eyes (Elliott Eyes collections), Lisa Paulsen (Collector), Lindsay Clement-Meehan (Collector & MCA Young Ambassador), and Clinton Bradley (Collector).

Sunday 25 March at 12pm: Starting Late, with panelists Skye O’Meara (General Manager, APY Art Centre Collective), Nyunmiti Burton (Senior Artist) Gina Fairly (National Visual Arts Editor, ArtsHub), and Tamara Winikoff OAM (past Executive Director of the National Association for the Visual Arts)

THE OTHERS LIVE

​Enjoy a curated music program that promises to get the party started! Our partners at Musicland have booked in some of the best selectors and musical minds on the Sydney scene. 

Or stumble upon some exciting and unexcected performances through out the fair. 
Show Us Your Teeth is a collective of artists Amy Claire Mills, Bailee Lobb, Kate Bobis, and Monica Rudhar. Don’t miss the Opening Night  show ‘Tableau’ - camouflaged displays of self-expression.
Look out for Deep Sea Astronauts on Friday night who play with classic stories and archetypes to create works that are always lots of fun and often a bit subversively cheeky.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Treat yourself to a variety of delicious treats and tipples from Smoking Gun Bagels & Coffee, Epic Pizza, Broomfields Pies, and N2 Extreme Gelato.

THE OTHER PROJECTS

We have a dynamic program of site specific art projects and installations for visitors to interact with and examine whilst roaming the fair.

Inspired by nature and the modern world, this reimagined landscape brings the outside in. Wander the garden amongst the works of emerging artists working in three-dimension, curated by Lisa Fehily and presented by Ovolo Hotels. 

Get a behind-the-scenes look into the creative workings of an artist. Witness live demonstrations and learn tips and tricks of the trade. Featuring exhibiting artists from the fair, with special appearances by ELK (Thursday 6pm), Scott Marsh (Friday 6pm).

Be transported momentarily out of the ordinary and into another dimension and take a walk through Christine Ko’s multi-layered tunnel to uncover a hidden secret.

Liam Herne presents Light Geist - step into the dark and ponder over current events; and Wordscape - showcase your own imagination and creativity in this collaborative artwork.

Take a break and immerse yourself in The Red Room, Presented by AFTRS (Australian Film, Television and Radio School), where you can view exceptional film and video works of past and present students.

AFTRS 'BEST OF FEST'

Sit back and enjoy a series of film shorts presented by Australia's premier film school, AFTRS.

Partnering with Australia's premier film school, The Other Art Fair and AFTRS present a curated selection of outstanding short films, directed and produced by AFTRs students from this past year.

YOUNG HENRYS BAR

Visitors could quench their thirst at our bar and taste "The Other" Gin & Tonic with DIY Noble Cut Gin Cocktails at the bar, which were hosted by our friends at Young Henrys.

MINI GARAGE SYDNEY x PHIBS

Renowned street artist PHIBS recreated some of his iconic works directly onto a MINI Cooper.

LIVE DJ SETS AND RADIO 2SER 107.3

The first edition of The Other Art Fair Sydney presented an immersive program of music and performances including Radio 2SER 107.3, who aired live music onsite.

COLOUR YOUR WORLD WITH ECKERSLEY'S ARTS & CRAFTS

Colour Your World with Eckersley's Arts & Crafts were led by the eco-friendly Derivan Stencil Art Studio with artist Chris Tam, discussing how to use handmade stencils to create your own take home artwork, incorporating layering techniques for t-shirts, posters, stickers and large stretched canvases without using aerosols.

8 artists, 1 world event, 2 days to respond creatively

RAPID RESPONSE TEAM is PACT’s team of performance artists who have two days to respond creatively to the stories and events that are shaping their daily lives. RAPID RESPONSE TEAM is immediate, fast and furious performance making that occupies the theatre, the streets and online. RAPID RESPONSE TEAM present a Bulletin on the second Saturday of the every month up to November 2015. The 8 outstanding artists who are PACT’s 2015 RAPID RESPONSE TEAM are Aslam Abdus-samad, Nick Atkins, DA Carter, Marie Chanel, Stephanie King, Ryan McGoldrick, Kevin Ng and Claudia Osborne.

110%
110% is the collaborative project of Kieran Bryant, Beth Dillon and Lachlan Herd, three emerging interdisciplinary artists working predominantly across the fields of performance, video, installation and sculpture.
Their collaborative practice questions what it means to be a professional artist in the 21st Century, probing the relationship between artists, audiences and the institutional culture that supports their practice.

SOCIAL PLAYGROUND

Social Playground are the instigators of fun! Together with Social Playground we bridged the gap between the online and offline worlds through live digital experiences. Our interactive digital products, included Live Instagram Printers, GifGif Boothes and Roaming Selfie Machines, which offered creative experiences for consumers wanting to engage and share with their friends online.
